Pequot Tribe highest taxpayer

WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 27, 2002 The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation of Connecticut is once again the biggest taxpayer in the town of North Stonington. The tribe's assessed value on properties it owns was $19,566,919 in 2001. This helped the town, which wants more money from the tribe's casino, see growth in its "grand list" of a taxable properties by 2 percent. Get the Story:
