Four gaming bills were introduced in the Arizona Legislature on Tuesday as part of a special session aimed at approving new compacts with the state's tribes.

Hoping to convince lawmakers on the issue, Gov. Jane Hull mailed letters to respond to criticism of the deals. The racetrack industry has launched a media campaign urging rejection of the compacts.
