WEDNESDAY, APRIL 10, 2002

The Narragansett Tribe's casino bid was delayed on Tuesday when the Rhode Island House approved a study of gaming in the state.

The tribe is hoping to put its proposal before voters on the November ballot. The commission assigned to study gaming, however, isn't required to complete its work until April of next year.
