JANUARY 11, 2001 In their continuing series on the legacy of President Bill Clinton, the Washington Post examines the history of the relationship between Clinton and FBI Director Louis Freeh. Distrust between the two was common on issues from Whitewater to campaign fund-raising. On Leonard Peltier, the White House criticized Freeh for his public disclosure of a letter he wrote to Clinton calling on him not to free the imprisoned activist. The White House yesterday said it would issue another round of pardons and commutations next week. Get the Story:
