JANUARY 5, 2001 The list of clients Gale Norton, George W. Bush's pick to head the Department of Interior, has represented as an attorney and lobbyist include a company targeted in toxic-waste lawsuits. Norton registered as a lobbyist for Congress and the Colorado Lesiglature on behalf of NL Industries. The company has been named as a defendant in 75 Superfund and toxic-waste lawsuits and others involving lead poisoning of children.
