Lobbying group apologizes for Jeffords' threat

The National Association of Home Builders has apologized for an incident in which one of its Louisiana lobbyists allegedly made threatening remarks about Senator Jim Jeffords (I-Vt.).

The lobbyist allegedly made the remarks to an aide in Jeffords' office. He has been questioned by US Capitol Police.

Jeffords has received death threats since leaving the Republican party and is under armed watch.
