A memo from the New Mexico State Auditor questions the spending practicies of Manuel Barragan, an employee of the state Office of Indian Affairs in charge of elder programs.

But the audit found no wrongdoing on Barragan's part. He overstated his travel expenses by just $165 dollars and reimbursed the state the amount.

In total Barragan was paid $7,000 for travel expenses incurred during variuos visits to Pueblos and reservations. Barragan's office is being moved to the state Agency on Aging.
