Hearing to address judicial nominees
JUNE 26, 2001

The Senate Judiciary Committee today will hold a hearing on how ideology should affect consideration of judicial nominees.

The hearing comes as Republicans fight to gain some control over Presiden Bush's judicial nominees. They fear the Democrats, now in control of the Senate, will hold back Bush's appointees and want a guaranteed vote on the full Senate floor for them.

The hearing begins at 10:00 AM Eastern Standard Time. An audio feed is avaiable at CapitolHearings.Org.
