Fla. election report criticized

JUNE 28, 2001 Florida Secretary of State Katherine Harris on Wednesday criticized an election report which faults her and other top state officials for last year's Presidential election. In a written statement to the Senate Rules Committee, Harris, a Republican, says the US Civil Rights Commission report is biased and partisan. It was approved by the Democratic and Independent members of the Commission. A Republican member also criticized the report at the hearing yesterday.
