Sovereignty Symposium XIV ended on Wednesday in Oklahoma City as participants discussed the political landscape of Indian gaming and tribal sovereignty.

A University of Oklahoma law professor said that the public gets suspicious of sovereignty when tribes get prosperous. A member of Governor Frank Keating's tribal office said that tribes should emphsize economic development over sovereignty.
