Mexico doesn't want US trucks either

FRIDAY, AUGUST 3, 2001 Mexican President Vicente Fox says he will not allow US trucks in his country if Mexican truckdrivers can't drive on federal highways. In response to safety issues raised by Democrats, the Senate has approved strict standards on trucks originating from Mexico. Republicans say the limits will amount to a ban on Mexican trucks. President Bush wants Mexican trucks to be able to travel freely on US highways. Get the Story:
