MONDAY, DECEMBER 17, 2001 Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle (D-S.D.) on Sunday said the nomination of Eugene Scalia to be Solicitor at the Department of Labor will fail. On ABC's "This Week," Daschle said he doesn't think Scalia will get the votes needed. He said a vote will be held next year. Some Democrats oppose Scalia for his positions on workplace regulations. He is the son of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia. Get the Story:
