Sharon Clahchischilliage is seeking the Republican nomination to run for New Mexico's secretary of state.

Clahchischilliage is Navajo from San Juan County. She served in the first Bush administration as a public health commissioner, was a tribal liaison to the state of New Mexico on health issues and directed the Navajo Nation's Washington, D.C., office at one time.
