The media was out in full force at the Bush administration's contempt trial yesterday, hoping to decipher Secretary of Interior Gale Norton's latest ruminations.

The Washington Post -- both the paper and the weekly magazine -- The Denver Post, the Associated Press, The Oregonian and Gannett News were among the onlookers who crowded into the fourth floor court room in Washington, D.C. There was the usual parade of government representatives, although the throng of private counsel, and their gossip, that showed up to proceedings last year was noticeably absent.
