TUESDAY, MAY 7, 2002

White House counsel Albert Gonzales and Sen. Joe Lieberman (D-Conn.) have been playing cat-and-mouse over what information the Bush administration will provide to Congress.

Gonzales has sidestepped numerous queries by Lieberman's Government Affairs Committee. So he has been threatened to explain exactly what information he will provide or face a subpoena.

Lieberman is seeking White House contacts with failed energy company Enron.
