Pueblo soccer attack trial begins

MAY 9, 2001 An ex-soccer coach accused of attacking a referee at a game in Santa Ana Pueblo started his new trial in Bernalillo, New Mexico, on Monday. Elidio Ramirez is accused of attacking referee Douglas Cotter at a game held at the Pueblo's soccer complex. He is charged on two counts of aggravated battery, conspiracy and kidnapping.
