THEY AREN'T INDIANS BECAUSE I SAID SO
"Tribal Chairman Kenneth Reels recently questioned why people have less-than-affectionate feelings toward the Mashantuckets. He wanted to know why others would begrudge them their realization of the American Dream. It's simple. The group identifying itself as Mashantucket Pequots is perceived as an entity that was falsely created, that manipulated Congress in both its federal recognition and land claims, was the recipient of benefits that were designed to alleviate the suffering of the destitute, and cares not what effects its business ventures impart upon its neighbors. . ."
