Tribes urged to use media

MARCH 28, 2001 At the California Indian Gaming Summit in Palm Springs, tribal leaders were told on Tuesday to take control of how they are presented by the media. Kate Spilde of the National Indian Gaming Association in particular noted that politicians often use media reports as fact rather than research issues themselves. Kyle Naback of the National Indian Gaming Commission said tribes need to reach out to the media to make sure their stories are told. Get the Story:
