MAY 11, 2000 The Tall Bull Memorial Grounds will be protected from a nearby development, according to a compromise reached by American Indian leaders, local officials, and area developers. The grounds are located in a Denver, Colorado park and are used by the Indian community for educational, historical, and cultural purposes. The site is off-limits to the general public. Indian leaders had feared development nearby would encroach on the site, but developers agreed to move future development sites away from the grounds. The developers also agreed to consult a council of Indian leaders on their future plans for the area. Get the Story:
