"Columnist Tim Giago's attack on is unfortunate and ill-informed...A few years ago, Mr. Giago thought we were 'Indian' enough to offer for sale to us his newspaper, Indian Country Today. In addition, Giago sought, from the Mashantucket Tribal Nation, a contractual agreement for his spouse’s consultant services. When the tribe declined his offers, I guess that’s when we stopped being 'Indian.'"
