JUNE 15, 2000 Kontemporaryong Gamelan Pilipino, a music and dance group from the Philippines visited the Omaha reservation in Macy, Nebraska on Wednesday as part of their world tour. The group is composed of college students from the University of the Philippines who are trying to preserve indigenous culture there. Two Omaha students said their performance reminded them of a pow-wow. Get the Story:
