JUNE 26, 2000 The Trail of Tears Overlook at the Fort Smith National Historic Site was dedicated on June 24. Members of the Five Civilized Tribes of Oklahoma, the Cherokee, Chickasaw, Choctaw, Creek (Muscogee) and Seminole Nations, were on hand to take part in the dedication. Get the Story:
