JULY 25, 2000 The President of the Ho-Chunk Nation is being threatened with removal by tribal members who successfully removed the tribe's previous president. Jacob Lone Tree is accused of financial mismanagement by the same group of people who removed Chloris Lowe Jr from his position in 1997. A general meeting was held by the tribe regarding potential removal, but only 800 members attended, too small to compose a quorum. Get the Story:
