TUESDAY, JULY 31, 2001 "Sen. Frank Murkowski., R-Alaska, doesn't agree with the Alaskan Federation of Natives who want to take some of their complaints to the [United Nations World Conference on Racism]. He warned the federation that these complaints would merely embarrass the United States. . . The Bush administration seems uncaring about the issues or unable to grapple with them. So indigenous peoples are appealing to the world. Sen. Murkowski is right. That is embarrassing." Get the Story:
