Yellow Bird: US should attend racism conferenc

"Sen. Frank Murkowski., R-Alaska, doesn't agree with the Alaskan Federation of Natives who want to take some of their complaints to the [United Nations World Conference on Racism]. He warned the federation that these complaints would merely embarrass the United States. . .

The Bush administration seems uncaring about the issues or unable to grapple with them. So indigenous peoples are appealing to the world.

Sen. Murkowski is right. That is embarrassing."
