Powwow honors Kateri

Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha, the Mohawk woman who has been credited with many miracles including the highly publicized case of a Cochiti Pueblo woman who awoke from a coma last year, was honored at a powwow in New York. Attendees included many from the United States as well as Mexico and Peru.

After spending 16 years in a coma, Patti White Bull of Cochiti Pueblo suddently awoke last year around the Christmas holiday. Many in Indian Country credit the Blessed Kateri with White Bull's recovery.
