"The Indians were granted U.S. citizenship status in the 1920s. During the social revolution of the 1930s, the Indian Reorganization Act was passed, and the tribes started to form their current associations. The BIA subsequently started to re-recognize these associations as "sovereign" governmental units or nations.

Why are we continuing to put up with this figment/myth of sovereignty?

Our government should abrogate the treaties, deed all Indian land to the individuals and tribal corporations, and let them fend for themselves like other citizens."
