MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 10, 2001

The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation of Connecticut is conducting a poll of local residents to find out how they feel about a proposed settlement over trust lands.

The tribe is proposing to limit its land-into-trust applications to 880 acres for the next 35 years. A Pennsylvania polling company is asking residents of Preston, Ledyard and North Stonington various questions about the proposal.
