Threats attacks on Arabs rise

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 14, 2001 Authorities throughout the country are reporting threats and attacks against persons of Middle Eastern and South Asian descent. President Bush on Thursday said Americans should not blame all Arabs or followers of the Muslim faith for the attacks of the hijackers. Nonetheless, Islamic followers and Arabs have been investigated and detained by authorities both in the United States and abroad. The arrests of 10 men at two New York City airports has turned out to be a case of mistaken identity. Get the Story:
