Obituary: Winnie Jourdain 101

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 8, 2001

Ojibwe activist Winnie Jourdain died Monday on the White Earth Reservation in Minnesota. She was 101.

Jourdain was short in stature but tall in strength. She is remembered for her politics, her passion and her knowledge.

Services will be held on Saturday, 10:30 a.m, at St. Benedict's Catholic Church in White Earth.
