THURSDAY, MARCH 28, 2002 Television pioneer Milton Berle died at his home in California yesterday. He was 93. Known as "Mr. Television" to many and "Uncle Miltie" to more, Berle was known as the new medium's first star. His vaudeville roots kept Americans nationwide laughing as he presided over his Texaco Star Theater, on NBC, from 1948-1953. He subsequently went on to host and star on other shows, appear in countless movies and receive numerous awards. Get the Story:

Comedian and actor Dudley Moore died on Wednesday after a bout with a rare brain disorder. He was 66. Known for his short stature, the 5-foot-2 comic was well known in England before he landed a key role in "10" opposite Bo Derek in 1979 and became a popular movie star. He went on to appear "Arthur," a film which made alcoholism funny in a a unique Moore way. Moore was diagnosed with progressive supranuclear palsy in 1997. He developed pneumonia as a result and died at his New Jersey home. Get the Story:
