Pow-wow to help GRAMMY nominee

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 15, 2002

A pow-wow is being held in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on Saturday to raise money to send drum group YoungBird to the Grammy ceremony next week.

Nominated for "Change of Life," this inter-tribal group has been asked to perform at the GRAMMY pre-awards show and possibly at the show itself. But getting all 18 singers and three family members to Los Angeles is pretty costly, so the pow-wow will help raise funds.

The Native category is scheduled to be presented during the main show.
