FRIDAY, MARCH 1, 2002

Built on the edge of the Grand Canyon, Hopi House was opened in 1905 to give tourists a glimpse into tribal culture.

Nearly a century later, the three-story building still has much the same focus. Except tribal arts and crafts workers no longer live at the house and tourists aren't allowed to see some of the ceremonies performed anymore.
