A pro-drilling group in Alaska and the Inupiat village of Kaktovik are closer to receiving money to promote the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.

The Alaska Senate approved $1 million for Arctic Power, a non-profit lobbying group, and $100,000 for the village. But the bill has to survive one more vote when Democrats try to attach $20 million to aid the tourism and salmon industry.
