The Atomic Safety and Licensing Board has ordered officials of the Skull Valley Goshute Tribe to release details about funds they have received from the nuclear industry.

Tribal officials must disclose money received from Private Fuel Storage, a consortium of private companies seeking to store up to 40,000 tons of nuclear waste on the reservation. Officials must also make public what they have spent on and how they intend to spend future funds.

The order came down after dissident tribal members requested the board to act. The tribe is very small and some members oppose the facility.

The state of Utah recently lost a court seeking to force disclosure of similar information.

The information is due March 22.
