TUESDAY, MARCH 19, 2002 Washington state and federal authorities on Monday arrested a group of men for allegedly poaching $1.3 million worth of geoducks from state and tribal waters. Douglas John Martin Tobin, a member of the Squaxin Island Tribe, is described as the ringleader. He is alleged to have stolen resources from the state and the Squaxin Island, Nisqually and Puyallup tribes The poaching ring supplied geoducks to Asian markets, according to authorities.
