Wyo. site eyed for gas reserve

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 3, 2002 The state of Wyoming has released a report which claims the Department of Interior has underestimated the amount of natural gas in the Jack Morrow Hills. The state says 4 trillion cubic feet of natural gas and about a half-million barrels of oil are in the hills. The Bureau of Land Management believes there are 2.3 trillion cubic feet of gas. The hills are located in Wyoming's Red Desert. Environmentalists and tribes have raised concerns about species and sacred sites. Get the Story:
