Cops accused of racism

An inquest into the death of an elderly Native is bringing up charges of racism against the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in British Columbia.

Paul Alphonse, 67, died while in the custody of RCMP. The RCMP was cleared of wrongdoing but Union of B.C. Indian Chief Stewart Phillip says Natives suffer at the hands of police.
