A student at Si Tanka - Huron University in South Dakota pleaded not guilty on Thursday to knowingly exposing a woman to the HIV virus.

Nikko Briteramos is being held on a state law which makes it a crime to intentional exposure. At least four cases have been traced to the 18-year-old basketball player while hundreds of students and others in the area are being tested.

The Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe owns the school, which functions as an off-reservation campus for the Si Tanka tribal college.
