Former Pueblo leader indicted for theft

A former governor of Acoma Pueblo in New Mexico has been indicted by a federal grand jury for allegedly embezzling $8,000 from the tribe.

Ronald D. Shutiva allegedly stole the money in two separate incidents in January 1997. He was governor of the Pueblo in 1995, 1996 and 1997.
