British publication The Economist writes up the Indian trust fund in its March 23 print edition, saying Elouise Cobell and the plaintiffs may be near a victory in the five-year-old case.

The magazine summarizes the major points of the litigation, including the contempt proceedings against the Clinton and Bush administrations and Secretary of Interior Gale Norton's proposal to create a new Indian trust organization. The computer shutdown, from which the Department of Interior is finally emerging, is also mentioned.
