Crow Tribal Judge Donald Stewart has temporarily removed Chairwoman Clara Nomee from the tribe's highest office, in response to a lawsuit filed by five tribal members who have called for her resignation due to her largely upheld criminal conviction just last week. Nomee is prohibited from doing business for the tribe and from running for re-election next month. A permanent injunction hearing is scheduled for April 21.
