Land O'Lakes enhancing Indian 'maiden'

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 21, 2002 Betty Crocker got a makeover and now it's time for the Indian "maiden," the long-time symbol of the Land O'Lakes dairy cooperative, to be revamped. President and CEO Jack Gherty said the company is planning a $30 million campaign that will include what The Minneapolis Star Tribune calls an "enhanced" version of the submissive and peaceful looking logo. It is an attempt to draw more attention to the company's "brands," said the executive. Get the Story:
