Tribe's parking lot at issue

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 13, 2002 The Connecticut town of Ledyard is considering a request by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation to continue use of a parking lot. The parking lot has been in use at the tribe's museum since 1998 and was designed to be temporary. But the tribe hasn't developed an alternate way to transport visitors to the facility and wants to renew its parking lot permit. The parking lot is not on trust land so the town's Zoning Commission is holding a hearing tomorrow to consider the request. Get the Story:
