The Seneca-Cayuga Tribe of Oklahoma on Wednesday said it was willing to give up its share of a $248 million land claim award in exchange for a casino in New York.

But the tribe's relatives are opposing any sort of deal with their removed cousins. The Seneca Nation of New York hopes to open three casinos in the western part of the state while the Cayuga Nation hasn't announced plans.

Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver said the Oklahoma tribe wants a shot if the New York Seneca fail to complete the deal.
