Bill to send Ariz. stadium back
THURSDAY, APRIL 11, 2002

The Arizona House on Wednesday approved a bill affecting a proposed $350 million Arizona Cardinals football stadium.

The bill would require voters in Maricopa County to decide whether they want the project to continue. If no, the stadium plans would be scrapped.

The stadium was approved by voter initiative in November 2000. Tribes began competing for a chance to hose the facility early on in the game but now face dim prospects.
