There 18 seats to fill on a task force created to study casino gaming in the state of Maine.

The Legislature will appoint the panel's members so everyone is trying to get a spot. The state's tribes are supposed to have one representative.

The task force was created in response to a casino raised by the Penobscot Nation and the Passamaquoddy Tribe.
