Frank Arrowchis, a member of the White River band of the Northern Ute Indian Tribe, is welcoming the Olympic torch into the state of Utah with an Indian ceremony.

Arrowchis said he will perform a blessing as the torch prepares for its final stretch to the Winter 2002 Olympics in Salt Lake City. His 16-year-old granddaughter, Stephanie Spann, will be the first to handle the torch.
