FRIDAY, MARCH 1, 2002 Vice President Dick Cheney on Wednesday "officially" launched the government's new version of its Internet portal, FirstGov. Except that he didn't actually launch it. The mouse he used to "turn it on" was made of cardboard and rubber and was non-functional, The Washington Post reports. Also, the site can't access Department of Interior information due to the ongoing shutdown. Get the Story:
