The Department of Interior says 85 percent of its computer systems are back up and running but this doesn't include the Bureau of Indian Affairs or of the Office of the Special Trustee.

The department shut down its e-mail servers, web servers and other systems in response to a December 5 court order requiring protection of the assets of 300,000 American Indians. The department said it couldn't fix the security breaches unless everything was disconnected from the Internet.
