Meskwaki Tribe delays exclusion of Sioux man
The Meskwaki Tribe, of Iowa will delay its exclusion of a Sioux man who is married to a tribal member in hopes of resolving the dispute in tribal court.

The tribe ordered the removal of James Ironshell, a member of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe of South Dakota. He is living in tribal housing with his wife, Eloise, who is Meskwaki and their two daughters.

Ironshell agreed to drop his lawsuit in federal court in order to resolve the dispute in tribal court. But his lawyer says he will return to federal court if the case doesn't go his way.
